Heidi Fawzy, a former doctor who is now the Audience Relations Officer for SAT-7 Egypt, says that television programmes make a significant impact among the poor in the Middle East.

"These are simple people who work on farms during the day and gather around the one satellite receiver in the community during the evening. They tell me that it is a big event to watch SAT-7 and they enjoy discussing what they have seen."

They are delighted when they get more information about the Christian faith or a letter from SAT-7. "The gospel is very clear for these people", says Heidi.
