About SAT-7
Making God's love visible in the Middle East and North Africa
For centuries in the Middle East, Christians have
been isolated, Christianity has been misunderstood and the Good
News of Jesus Christ has been silenced.
The rapid growth of satellite television in the
region has given Christians in the region an unprecedented opportunity
to alter the situation radically. SAT-7, a unique, not-for-profit
channel has done just that, providing a strategic breakthrough for
Christian ministry.
All over the Middle East and North Africa people
are switching on to SAT-7. They find Christian television programmes
in Arabic that relate to their culture – and help to change their lives.
People in Great Britain and Ireland who want to
pray for the needs of the Church in the region and support the work
of SAT-7 with prayer and financial gifts can do so through SAT-7 Trust, which is based in Chippenham, Wiltshire. SAT-7 itself works
from production studios in Egypt and Lebanon, coordinated by the
International Centre in Cyprus.
About 500 million people live in the Middle East
and North Africa, 17 million are Christian. Independent research indicates that around 10 million people regularly watch SAT-7 broadcasts.
Our running costs are equivalent to spending just £5 per viewing
family per year.
All of SAT-7’s programmes are culturally
appropriate and are written and produced by Arabic-speaking Christians
from within the Middle East. It is our prayer that we will see a
growing Church in this region, confident in Christian faith and
witness, serving the community and contributing to the good of society
and culture.
"I live in an area where I am totally cut off from any kind of Christian fellowship, teaching, and guidance. Praise God I found out about SAT-7, which
provides me with what I was missing. God bless you." SAT-7 viewer living in the Gulf
