Mount Toubkal Challenge
6th-13th June 2009
We're delighted to announce that our trekking team successfully reached the summit of Mount Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa (4167m)! It was a long, strenuous trek in warm and sometimes windy conditions but all the participants made it to the summit.

We give thanks to God that the whole week of trekking went very well, there were no injuries (apart from one or two blisters), the weather was fantastic and even camping in quite basic conditions didn't cause too many problems! The team was well looked after by an experienced Moroccan guide and a team of muleteers.
Each day began with an early breakfast, followed by several hours of trek king, usually over rough and rocky terrain. Evenings were spent resting, chatting in the dining tent, playing Scrabble and enjoying the excellent Moroccan meals prepared by Lassan the cook. All in all, it was a truly memorable experience.
A huge thank you to all those who sponsored our team - we are pleased to report that so far £10,000 has been raised.

Thank you for your support!
